Many of you, my dedicated readers, are probably thinking at this point, “Hey, me! What about Seth?” This is an excellent question.

Short Guy At A Big College
I’m a short guy (5’8″) who attends the University of Northern Iowa, majoring in Business Analysis Economics. Up until recently, I was a marketing major as well, but I find a lot more enjoyment in the analytical probing that Economics entails. I will be taking my economics degree with me to law school in the fall of 2010, so it seems that I have quite a bit of work ahead of me!

Non-Religious
I am not a religious person. I find it amazing that having a lack of a certain feature can define so much of what a person is. Religion is the only thing that forces people to define themselves in terms of what they aren’t. I will gladly engage in a religious debate with anyone about any topic, as it is one of my interests and I have been attempting to become more well-informed on the subject. I believe in using sound judgment and reason as the basis for a moral foundation, and I do not think it takes religion to do what is right. I should correct that statement — I know that it does not take religion to do what is right.

Shenanigans
With regard to other interests, there are a few things I enjoy tremendously. Eating spaghetti is near the top of my list, as is sleeping. Unfortunately, I have to take both of those things in moderation, or I would never get anything done. I spend a lot of my free time tinkering around on my computer, typically playing games or reading up on whatever political news I can find. I’m the president of the UNI Swim Club, and I try to get in to the gym to lift several times a week, but sadly I have a love-hate relationship with exercise. I also enjoy writing, and I have started this BLOG with the intention of getting back in touch with my writing abilities. I spend a fair amount of time with the student government on campus as well as the Pre-Law Club, the UNI Freethinkers and Inquirers, the Economics Club, and the Sports Club Advisory Council. I try to keep busy.
